Digital Rendering series

This series focuses showcases the preliminary work I do to create most of my reference images for both paintings and mural work. Much of my process is hidden in plan site and I have decided that it is important to deconstruct and share how I get from A to Z. As a multidisciplinary artist I utilize any medium and all of my skill sets to create. One of those is photography and graphic manipulation and retouch. Over 2 decades of working in photography and photoshop have provided a tool I often use in the background of my work. Some of these digital renderings also fall under other series within this larger body of work. Specifically "Crow and the Thread" and "SPECTRUM". Some of these digital renderings are photographic manipulation of actual photographs I have taken, some are multi-layered process where I have created a photographic rendering for reference, created an actual painting from it and took process shots which were then brought back into the computer to be digitally collaged again for the final piece. "The Embrace" is an example of this. I appreciate creating complexities in processing that are not known to the viewer, but felt energetically in the work.
