Process video for the completion of Synchronicity, 21,000-square-foot gateway mural project by JONESY, transforms the I-85 underpass on Sugarloaf Pkwy into an immersive public art experience for Gwinnett’s downtown.
This project was completed two phases: the 11,000-square-foot North Wall was finalized in 2024, followed by the 10,000-square-foot South Wall, completed on October 15, 2025. Commissioned by the Community Improvement District in partnership with The Hudgens Center for Art & Learning , this project represents a multi-year collaboration between civic partners and the arts community.Partial funding for the North Wall was provided by Explore Gwinnett through the Gwinnett Creativity Fund, and sponsors 12 Stone Church and Georgia Power.Support for the South Wall was provided by the Community Foundation for Northeast Georgia on behalf of The Michael S. Hudgens Fund, and by Norfolk Southern through the Thriving Communities Grant, awarded to project partner Create Gwinnett.
